Take A Step for Fairtrade in London Borough of Ealing

March 10th, 2012

In Ealing Broadway on Saturday 3 March a fun family event was held to interest people in Fairtrade and the theme this year – Take a step for Fairtrade. There were activities such as sampling chocolate and cookies, making ‘arty’ footprints and entering a raffle to win a selection of items donated from Marks and Spencer.

Earlier in the week at the Council’s main office The Ealing Fairtrade group held an event to promote Fairtrade Fortnight to staff. There was a bake sale, footprint makng, sampling of products and a raffle to win ‘hamper’ items donated by the Co-operative. Staff were enthused to make footprints and pledge their support for the forthcoming year. Many were interested by the range of products now available which includes nuts, cotton and honey.

Both raffles raised £175.00 for the Group to run future activities.  Find out more at www.ealingfairtrade.org.uk
