Fairtrade Borough Renewals
Becoming a Fairtrade Town is an incredible achievement and represents a milestone on your areas’ Fairtrade journey, but is only the beginning! It is important that the campaign continues to gain momentum, obtain commitments from new organisations and increase understanding across the community.
Renewals are required one year after status is achieved and following that, once every two years.
In the recent survey on the future of Goal Two the support for a more flexible approach allowing groups to set their own plans for the future was welcomed as more participatory, democratic and the ‘right way forward’ by most respondents. Fairtrade Foundation is currently phasing in some changes to the renewal process.
