Greenford High School students enjoyed a visit from the Co-operative Fairtrade Ben&Jerry’s Ice-cream van on 7 March. The van gave our free samples of Fairtradeproducts, such as Ben&Jerry’s Cookie Dough Ice Cream, Farirtrade bananas, Fairtrade dark chocolate and Fairtrade oranges. The idea was to raise awareness about Fairtrade in schools… and it worked a treat!
Co-op Fairtrade Ice cream van
The students were asked to fill out a quiz about the Co-op and Fairtrade; the first ones to correctly complete it were awarded an ice-cream – others got cookies or chocolate. The answers to the quiz were scattered all over the van, and all of the students had a fun time searching the outside of the van, and learning about Fairtrade as well!
